Anyone have information that might help me locate stock 4th gen Subaru LGT springs?
I've got a brother who bought a cheaply lowered LGT and wants to get stock springs back on there (he doesn't into rallyX) but my knowledge is based on the impreza and foresters and i aint going hunting on NASIOC if i can help it. Are all years of this gen (2003-2009) compatible? What about the difference between non-gt and gt? Wagon springs? Are there other Subaru's or legacys that would work for compatibility? I was going to start hunting around on my local classifieds and see what I can find. In Utah there should be no shortage of stock Subaru coils, as well as check out places like RallySport direct and Cobb. Thoughts?

Subaru? You sure you dont mean LGBT?
sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Wagon spring at the rear are heavy duty, may be bouncy), GT springs are stiffer/better than non GT. all springs ought to fit, but handling may not be much better if you don't go with what came stock....
edit: maybe only the spec B came with the Bilstein sport suspension , that would be top of my list of OEM setups.
II think asking at tuners is brilliant, you might even find a set of quality used coilovers for about the same $$$ invested. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthr…

Yeah the LGBT/LGT joke writes itself. all. the. time. Well played Subi. I found some '04 wagon coils for $20. I think you are right though, I suspect that are stiffer and wouldn't jive with the damping rates of the strut.

Are the shocks good? If not, you could look into replacing the whole strut assembly. I think a really wide variety of Subaru strut assembly will go on a 03-09 LGT. Fozzy struts will lift it to Outback-like heights, Impreza struts will probably be a little lower than stock.
I have '05 Fozzy struts on my '98 Legacy, FWIW.
